We love growing and raising our own food, growing our own medicines, and even blending our own skincare. We like country living the way our ancestors used to live it.
How do we do it? By tilling the soil, gardening, and by raising animals holistically and lovingly. By using already Earth-made compounds, and keeping them in the form they were meant to be in. Natural. No additives, no fillers, no preservatives.
It's Simple. It's Natural. It's Powerful.

Most importantly, we hope to share our methods, learn from yours, and provide quality products like our ancestors had at affordable prices!

About Bronco Farms
In the Bronco Barn every animals' happiness and well-being is top priority. They are all given a name and called by them. Our milking moms come when their name is called. How cool is that? It's SO COOL! They are all groomed, 'human-ized' and petted. I don’t just feed the animals twice a day, I hop in their pasture with them, lay/sit with them, and have a conversation with them before their day begins. Why? Because the Biology of their Limbic system matters. Their emotional state is critical in compounding the DNA methylation process that effects their overall health. Plus, their emotional state effects mine! When they're sad, I know it. When they're not tense, I know it. When they're feeling goofy, I know it. They are fed with top nutrition and supplements. They are NOT vaccinated, given antibiotics, or treated with growth hormones. They are NOT fed any feed that contains additives and fillers. Why? Because the molecules going IN their body will most definitely be what make up them. It's a Biology basic.
In the Bronco Gardens our soil is NOT fertilized with anything that comes from a store, is bagged, or contained in jar. Why? Because their synthetic chemicals alter the pH, damaging the soils natural microbes. Bronco gardens are replenished every year from the previous year's animal manures and byproducts, wood ashes, and compost from garden and vegetation leftovers. When the Bronco garden needs potassium, I add banana peel water. When the Bronco garden needs calcium, I add crushed eggshells. When the Bronco garden needs nitrogen, I add rice/pasta water. This way, the natural microbes flourish in making organic nutrients the plants readily uptake. Drum roll please...... nutrient cycling is now off the Biology charts!!! Wahoooo!!!
In the Bronco House respect and love for our God above dictates. Our gratitude for the magnificent Earth, and His creations given to us, are not taken lightly. They are counted as blessings upon blessings. They make us humble. They warm our heart. They teach us work, dignity, and love. They supply our sustenance, and are provided in the form they were meant to be in. Biology meets the spiritual realm, and God's creation is absolutely breath-taking.

My WHY
"Just a girl with a permaculture soul"

Me. The Bronco Biology Nerd.
Why? Because:
-
I'd rather pop a seat in the pigpen, and hang with the pigs over chillin on the couch in the house.
-
I'd rather clean barn stalls at 4:00 am over sleeping in.
-
I'd rather ride my horses with numb fingers in single digits, than not ride at all.
-
I'd rather starve, over eating something processed or fast food.
-
I'd rather grow my own medicines over depending on pharmaceuticals.
-
I'd rather talk with my animals over humans.
-
And above all, I absolutely refuse going to the grocery store over everything, all the time, no excuses, I’m not going! I'd rather dig a 20x10x10 hole with a spoon, than go to the grocery store.
-
I'd rather know 100% what I'm putting in my body
-
I wish vehicles were banned, and we got around using horse-drawn cart.
After one Bachelors, and two master's degrees, I thought my biology brain knew enough. I'm not even close. The more I learn, the more I realize I don't know. I love our biology world. Starting with the molecules that make up plants, animals, and dirt. One by one, I'm curious about all of them. All of them. Yes, I'm a nerd. I was born with this curiosity, and country heart. My mom used to say to me, "I think God put you here in the wrong generation, Bek". Bronco Farms has been years in the making. I'm now finally brave enough to share what's in my biology nerd brain, and the methods I've tested and tried. If this sounds like you, then you’re in the right place. Let’s be friends. You’re my kind of 🤓. I’m here to share my homesteading experience and hear about yours. Knowledge is only powerful when it’s shared. Together, we can save the world one 🤓 at a time.
